Customer:  Boxair, Inc.

Program:  Development of a simple, yet durable, cargo aircraft configured specifically for hauling standardized 40 foot aluminum shipping containers.  Requirements included the incorporation of container handling system(s) in order to facilitate loading and unloading with a minimum of support equipment at unprepared sites.

The resulting aircraft is unique in its capability as there are no other civilian aircraft capable of hauling a container of this size.  The anticipated gross weight is 120,000 pounds; the container payload is anticipated to be approximately 45,000 pounds.

Status:  The preliminary design program was successfully completed.  Construction of the prototype aircraft will commence once funding is secured.
